About Maria
Maria has a diploma of Remedial Massage and a current Certificate 1V in Assessment Work Place & Training. Maria has been teaching Massage related subjects since 2004 in both Government & Private Colleges in Melbourne and on the Gold Coast. (Subjects: Relaxation Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Sports Injury Management, Physical Assessment, Clinic, Occupational Health & Safety & Communication) Maria is qualified to teach up to Remedial level.

Beginners Massage Workshop The teaching method is unique yet simple. The focus is on technique, flow & communication in a safe & nurturing environment. As a Massage therapist and qualified massage teacher Maria has designed a course that is simple, effective and easy to learn. Massage is often taught by way of a specific sequence (a set pattern of strokes) instead of concepts. By learning and understanding the concepts, techniques and the importance of flow the student can experience massage as a creative art form, adding to it ones own individual style. Part 1: 4 week nights x 3 hours $395. Two day workshops also available. Part 2: 4 week nights x 3 hours $395. Two day workshops also available. Both in sequence $650.00

Trigger Point Therapy (Must have Certificate 1V Massage) Trigger point therapy is often used in Remedial, Therapeutic & Sports massage. It assists in releasing muscle tension by applying direct and specific pressure on (often) the tightest part of the muscle. 6 x 3 hour lessons $395.00 Two day workshops also available
Anatomy Painting for the Therapist - The purpose of this workshop is to identify, palpate and locate specific muscle groups implicated in particular patholagies. For example lower back complaints. Painting the muscles is a visual tool which helps the Therapist locate the muscles with confidence .
